A Picture is Worth…

Two years ago a VERY famous photographer, Jeremy Cowart, created Help Portrait. Help Portrait asks photographers to give one day of time to photograph people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to have their photograph taken. They go into veterans centers, battered women’s shelters, soup kitchens etc. and take photos for people who want them.

It’s a really neat idea and speaks to how important and powerful photographs are. Here is Mr. Cowarts TEDxNashville talk. I hope you enjoy this video and are inspired to go out as photographers and do something good!

    I really like this idea. I liked how he explained the 3 levels of photography. The video he showed at the end gave me goose bumps
