Facebook

It is a big day. I’ve made a facebook page for my photography. Ok, so maybe it isn’t such a big day…it wont go down in history books or anything. But it’s a big step for me. It is another way of putting my photography out there for people to see…and judge.  I hope it is also another way for me to connect with other photographers. See what they are doing, learn from them and have lots of nice conversations with them.

I’ve already asked most of my friends on facebook to “like” the page. But if I haven’t asked you yet…then here is me asking… please indulge my nerdy photography dreams and “like” the page. I will ❤ you FOREVER!!!

My Turn

I made it a goal this year to get out in front of the camera. I thought it would be a good learning experience. By doing this I would better understand all the fears that people have getting their photos taken. Hopefully after, I understand the nervousness and know how to fix it and be a better photographer.

So I posted a status on facebook asking if any photographers at UCLA would be willing to take my photo. Two days later I get a text from a friends girlfriend saying if it was all possible she would like to take me photo.  Arah McManamna is a senior at UCLA and wants to be a photographer after she graduates.

I am soooo great full to her for responding to my facebook post and for giving me this experience! I hope she likes the photos I took of her because I LOVE the ones she took of me.

Random Pic During Dead Week: The Roof of the Legion of Honor

It’s dead week at UCLA. That means I have to actually do all the reading that I have been putting off. Thus there will be a lot less picture taking, blogging, tweeting and facebooking.

I also left the cord that connects my camera to my PC at home. So I literally can’t up load pictures.

Time Together and Future Weddings

For the first time ever I’m living a way for a long period of time from home. Being so far a way at school makes looking back at home interesting. With tools like facebook, texting and twitter it’s really easy to stay in touch with people. However I do miss seeing things like this image. It’s of one of my really close friends Jess. I’ve know Jess since middle school (which if you know about my history you know how rare it is for me to have that much history with a friend…I think I really only have that type of history with Jess and Sara).

Though I can see pictures of what everyone did for Halloween and birthday parties, I no longer see the little images like this one anymore. I am thus really looking forward to going back home for thanksgiving and getting to see everyone!

I also wanted to announce that I have booked my second wedding shoot! Jess’s sister is getting married September 19th 2010 and I’m the photographer. So far it seems I have only photographed my best friends siblings weddings (so my besties better get more brothers and sisters or start walking down the isle themselves 🙂 ).

It seems it’s happy times for most of my friends back home in the love department. I can’t wait to see everyone again!
